Financing Supports The Vista at Greyhound Park
CHFA recently provided financing to support The Vista at Greyhound Park in Commerce City. Sponsored by Delwest, the development will provide 120 affordable rental townhomes serving households with incomes between 70 percent and 90 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). The development is part of the 65-acre Mile High Greyhound Park community. Upon completion, the master-planned community will offer more than 950 housing units across a range of housing types including supportive housing, Housing Tax Credit developments, affordable middle-income rental housing, and market rate and detached single family homes.
CHFA was proud to support The Vista at Greyhound Park with a $6,000,000 loan through its Middle-income Access Program (MIAP). Boys and Girls Club Receives New Markets Tax Credits for Learning Center
In April, CHFA allocated $10.5 million in New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) through the Colorado Growth and Revitalization Fund (CGR Fund) to support The Boys and Girls Club of San Luis Valley (BGCSLV) in the construction a new Early Childhood Learning Center in Alamosa. BGCSLV is a nonprofit organization serving families and youth in need across six communities in the San Luis Valley, providing resource navigation, case management, prevention services, and critical early childhood learning services.
The current BGCSLV facility in Alamosa serves as a community hub for a wide range of activities and programs, and currently supports more than 330 children and youth. The new 17,000 square foot Early Childhood Learning Center will expand the services available to the community, serving up to 160 additional children ages six and under each year through tutoring, physical education, art and creativity programs, and more. The project will also support the creation of 23 new full-time equivalent jobs and the retention of 12 existing jobs.
