Enhanced Participating Lender Search Feature Launched
CHFA was proud to launch an enhanced Home Finance Participating Lender search feature in August at chfainfo.com/participating-lenders. Through multiple community feedback sessions, CHFA’s Home Finance Division learned that homebuyers would like more options to help them narrow down their loan officer search. The Find a Participating Lender webpage now offers increased functionality, allowing homebuyers to type in an individual’s name or company.
Results may also be refined by several optional filters including county, production level, households served, and more. These attributes are visible on each loan officer’s contact card that populates below the dropdown filter options. Results are determined by the number of households who utilized a CHFA loan program when working with that loan officer in the previous calendar year or most recent rolling 12-month period.

CHFA Supports Captain D’s Restaurant and Howard and Associates
CHFA provided a Cash Collateral Support credit enhancement of $291,750 to support Captain D’s, a family-owned fast casual restaurant with two locations in Colorado Springs and one Pueblo. Bank of the San Juans will provide the financing to Captain D’s, and the loan will support the business in acquiring commercial real estate for their Pueblo location that they are currently leasing.
CHFA was also pleased to provide a $420,000 direct loan to support Howard and Associates, a law firm in Eagle. The firm’s owner and partner is Taggart Howard, a member of the Eagle County Recovery Court Team that works with high-needs clients in their recovery from substance use disorders. The financing provided by CHFA will refinance existing loans used by the firm to acquire the commercial real estate where its office is located.
