Juneteenth Music Festival Kicks off Summer Event Sponsorships
Nearly a dozen CHFA staff attended the Juneteenth Music festival in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, reflecting CHFA’s strategic commitment to being present in community. CHFA was also a sponsor of the event, which featured the Juneteenth neighborhood parade, a tradition dating back to the 1950s. CHFAians staffed a booth and shared information about CHFA resources, including Own Your Tomorrow initiatives that support Black and African American homeownership.
The festival sponsorship kicked off a series of community events where CHFA will show continued attendance and support, including the Colorado Black Arts Festival, the 37th Annual Brick City Reunion Picnic and Resource Fair, Winter Park Jazz Festival, Park Hill Day of Legends, and Montbello 2020 and Beyond Back to School Event.

Financing Supports Colorado Construction Technology Company
CHFA supported financing for BYLD, a Colorado-based construction technology company focused on delivering cost-effective housing solutions. The investment includes a $2 million Innovative Housing Incentive Program (IHIP) loan and a $1.75 million Proposition 123 Modular Finance Program loan – programs administered by CHFA on behalf of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT).
The financing will help BYLD expand its production capacity through the acquisition of advanced robotic carpentry equipment and provide working capital to support business development, facility improvements, workforce expansion, and ongoing operations. The company projects that the investment will help scale production capacity and support housing developments across Colorado, including projects with significant affordable housing components.

CHFA Visits Food Bank of the Rockies
One June 17th, more than a dozen CHFAians met at the Food Bank of the Rockies in Aurora to learn more about how CHFA has supported this nonprofit. The visit included a tour of the facility and information about how Food Bank of the Rockies has used New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) and Corporate Giving funds from CHFA. CHFAians also completed a volunteer shift at the facility.
“The event was a great opportunity to spend time with coworkers while sorting 260 boxes of plums and potatoes, which is the equivalent of 10,150 pounds and 8,458 meals for the community,” said Rose Outcalt, CHFA Housing Tax Credit Officer. “I also enjoyed learning about CHFA’s investment in the new facility through the allocation of New Markets Tax Credits and understanding the ways that the facility was designed to have the greatest impact to our community.

Housing Credit Connect Held in St. Louis
The 2026 National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) Housing Credit Connect event was held in St. Louis in early June. Each year, the conference convenes industry professionals from across the country for networking and education focused on new strategies in affordable housing development, finance, management, and compliance. Kathryn Grosscup, CHFA Manager, Housing Tax Credit, was a presenter at the conference, and a number other CHFAians were in attendance.
Blitz Build Hosts CHFA Volunteers
CHFAians participated in the Home Builders Foundation Blitz Build, constructing a wheelchair ramp for a family in Denver. Home Builders Foundation’s mission is to build independence, provide opportunities, and elevate lives for individuals and families with disabilities. Blitz Build is an opportunity for volunteers to support the Accessible Home Modification Program, which alleviates the burden of costly home modifications and ensures that Colorado homes are safe and accessible for individuals with disabilities.
CHFA Sponsors CML Conference
The Colorado Municipal League (CML) Annual Conference was held June 22-25 in Westminster, and CHFA was a sponsor. Each year, the event is an opportunity to learn, connect, and collaborate with municipal leaders from across Colorado. Presentations covered a range of topics including artificial intelligence in government, community engagement, housing needs assessments, and civic leadership. Members of CHFA’s Marketing and Community Relations Division were in attendance.
